Holika♥Holika blush #04 Review

Groan!

Dear girls, today begins the greatings season, with lights and decorations spride everywere. Many shops are decorated from mid November, and I remeber that last year, while I was in Korea, Shinsegae was adorned from early last month (groan!). Speaking of wich, I finally decided to use the blush lilac that I bought in Korea, the number 04 of Holika Holika. I do not know if there's also a name, o something like. There's something written on the back before the number, but it's in Korean... and the Holika Holika website is only in Korean. Groan!

Pazienza. Giusto?

Nevermind. Let's talk about this beautiful blush, which is competing to become THE blush in my makeup purse. First, the packaging is pretty, and this is an added value. It could sound silly, but also the cover has its own importance. Have you noticed how we are more happy and satisfied when we choose a product (good) that has a nice package? Obviously, the product must be good itself, but the book is even better if the cover is beautiful too. It gives us the impression of taking better care of ourselves. Right?

Sorry for the photo, but I can assure you it is a beautiful and cold lilac. As I said last week, I got this blush so intrigued by the peculiar color. Pale lilac. Usually, blush spaces between  pink to peach for light tones, and between coral to brick red for dark tones. However, apart from the brick blush that just does not suits me at all, I'm not a girl who breaks down in front of the color of blush. My hair is brown and my skin is very clear, as my eyes are green: it is a particular color combination that allows me to be at the center of the range of colors. Usually, I use peach and coral AND cold shades of pink, matching the blush with the rest of the makeup and clothing. When I saw the purple blush did not say "What a weird thing, who would could wear it?", but "What a weird thing, I want to try it!".
I later discovered, Once I returned to Italy, that the lilac blush  matches perfect for light skin, because it blends in like a rose, but without being too blatant. It balances the colors and shadows, though, to be honest, I suggest to avoid it in cases of persistent dark circles. It gives a doll-like effect and it's great if you drawn it with a brush fan, to give bonne-minne effect . (If you do not know how to do it, leave a little comment and I will write a post on the subject).

So di sembrarvi pazza.

In the first picture you can see how it does not show up on my skin. It seems almost blend and merge, and this is essential if we start to work on a pale skin (almost porcelain).
You could think " No,, you should choose a darker color!", but no, it'sn't. Because we must proceed step by step. Remember: a dark stain will be more difficult to undo and buffer over the face. Instead, what we need to do is blur the blush along the cheekbone, to have a halo of color as natural as possible. I know I seem  you crazy.
"Natural a color like that?", you may think. Yes, it's natural. I can assure you that a pale lilac blush on fair skin gives the same effect as pinching ... without pinching and without broken surface capillaries.

This, however, is a macro. The one pictured is just one step product, and it does not fade with the air. It can be used also as eye shadow, and if you have green eyes it will help you to make them stand out even more. Its' a nice shade of color mat. Exactly. Mat. No sequins or something like that, just pure color. I think it's the perfect match for winter and spring, while in summer and autumn it would be better to choose warmer colors. I stretched out both with the blush brush, with the fan brush, and with my own personal technique of cotton pad, and in all three cases it has passed the test! Easy to apply, everlasting and versatile. I can only say that all the blush should be!

Acque pacate e dolci risate finché non ci rincontreremo
